ABOUT US
Rise School of Dance was established in 2021 (previously Instep School of Ballet). Our aim is to create a fresh and exciting atmosphere in which students of all ages and abilities can rise in ballet, modern dance, contemporary, jazz and tap.
Our classes are taught to the highest standard. Whether you want to dance for fun or exercise once a week or you want to take dance to the next level, we can guide you along the way. The school has helped students to pursue successful careers in dance and we continue to encourage our current roster of students with the potential to do so too.
The school offers examinations with the Royal Academy of Dance (ballet) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (modern).
STAFF
Joana is a professional dancer with international experience, having been invited to teach in countries such as Norway, England, Portugal and Ghana. Joana trained in Portugal, obtained diplomas in vocational grades in Ballet (RAD & ISTD) and in Modern Theatre Dance (ISTD).
As a teacher, Joana achieved the position of RAD Register Teacher and AISTD Teacher, teaching and preparing graded and vocational students for RAD and ISTD exams. A versatile teacher, Joana teaches with a personalised approach, helping her students focus on and improve their ability, with her methods reaping visible results in students.

Francesca is a Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) graduate and a dedicated ballet educator with a passion for inspiring dancers of all levels. She earned a First-Class BA (Hons) Ballet Education degree from the RAD, equipping her with a deep understanding of classical ballet technique and teaching methodology. Francesca also holds the RAD Licentiate (LRAD) and was also awarded the Karsavina Heritage Award.​
With a strong appreciation for ballet’s artistry and discipline, Francesca is committed to guiding and inspiring students, helping them develop confidence, strong ballet technique, and a lifelong love for dance.

Lily began dancing at the age of 5 studying in many styles including RAD ballet & ISTD tap and modern. She enhanced her training through associate programmes at Tring Park and The Academy of Balletic Arts, and participated in prestigious competitions including the All England finals and Ballet Grand Prix. At 16 she trained at The School of Ballet Theatre UK, earning a Diploma in Ballet Performance. She then achieved a BA (hons) in Dance Performance from Addict Dance Academy.
Lily is passionate about helping students achieve strong technique and confidence in a positive and supportive environment.

Natalya has seven years of dance experience. She loves working with younger pupils and brings enthusiasm to every lesson to motivate and encourage them in learning new skills. Natalya is kind and patient, and keen to reassure and instill confidence into all the pupils so that they enjoy their dance classes.
